World Autism Awareness Day丨Love is Never Alone with Mindfront
On the eve of the 18th "World Autism Day", Mindfront Health, together with local governments and disabled persons' federations and other organizations, carried out two public welfare activities in Shanghai and Guangzhou, aiming to make the autistic group more visible to the public, create a more friendly and inclusive social environment for them, and support their healthy growth and integration into society.
Shanghai：Vast Wilderness, Shining Stars
On March 29th, Mindfront and the Huacao Town Government in Shanghai jointly organized a public welfare activity integrating fun, warmth and professionalism for autistic children and their families, aiming to convey hope through actions and create a more inclusive and friendly social environment for autistic children.
At the event, Senior Behavioral Therapist Ms. Gong Yihui held a themed salon titled "The Whole - Life Development of Autistic Children" for parents. Through in - depth yet easy - to - understand theoretical knowledge explanations and practical experience sharing, she helped parents better guide their children's healthy growth.
In addition to the professional salon, several creative interactive booths were carefully set up at the event site, bringing fun and warmth to autistic children and their families, spreading professional knowledge, and enhancing the understanding and tolerance of the autistic group. Parents and participants said that this event not only allowed them to have a deeper understanding of the autistic group but also made them feel the care and support from all sectors of society.
Guangzhou: Unusual Ideas Bloom
On March 30th, a special exhibition titled "Unusual Ideas Bloom: Sports Make Us More Wonderful", which combines sports and art, opened on the first basement floor of the Guangzhou Library. Mindfront was one of the supporters for the event.At the workshop after the opening ceremony, Ms. Yao Jingwen, a psychological teacher from Mindfron Xinlin Children and Adolescent Psychological Growth Center, led the autistic youth and ordinary reader families in a "parent - child sports party", narrowing the distance between autistic youth and ordinary people through fun sports games.
The core of this painting exhibition was the paintings, diaries and other art creations of adult autistic people. It integrated the struggling postures of disabled athletes on the field with the art creations of autistic youth, spreading the sports spirit, breaking the stereotype of "autism = children", showing their transformation and strength in the process of growth, and calling on society to pay attention to the survival and development needs of the older autistic group.
