Fighting against the “silent killer”: OncoCare Cancer Centre’s Lung Cancer Awareness Month events
Lung Cancer Awareness Month (LCAM) takes place each November. This year in Singapore, OncoCare staff came together with 365 Cancer Prevention Society to raise awareness of the challenges that come from a diagnosis of lung cancer. Through media column, virtual talk series and social media posts, our medical oncologists encouraged people to pay attention to their early signs & symptoms.
Lung cancer is often called “a silent killer” because symptoms do not typically appear in the early stages of the disease. However, early diagnosis can ensure the best possible chance of treating the disease effectively & influence patient outcomes.
Last month, the OncoCare team also showed their support for those affected by breast cancer through its Breast Cancer Awareness Month event scheme.
