	Prof. Thomas H. Kissel has been appointed as Distinguished Expert in Luye Pharma Group Ltd.
	12^th Aug, Yantai, The Professor of Pharmaceutics & Biopharmacy and Department Head at Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany, the expert in Non-viral vector gene transformation field has been appointed as Distinguished Expert in Luye Pharma Group Ltd. The R&D VP Dr. Li youxin held the appointment ceremony, the group president Mr. Liu Dianbo addressed welcoming remarks and issued the letter of appointment to Prof. Thomas Kissel. After the ceremony, Thomas Kissel Professor delivered an academic report "Nano-Carriers for pulmonary siRNA and Gene Delivery". About Professor Thomas H. Kissel Thomas H. Kissel is Professor of Pharmaceutics & Biopharmacy and Department Head at Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany, where he has been since 1991. He received his B.S. (Pharmacy) from Freiburg University (1971), his M. S. (Chemistry, 1974) and his Ph.D. (Medicinal Chemistry, 1976) from Marburg University. From 1978-1991 he has been Head of the Drug Delivery Systems Department at Sandoz Pharma AG, Basle, Switzerland. Thomas Kissel has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed articles and chapters on various aspects of drug delivery systems. Research interests have included synthesis and characterization of biodegradable polyesters, parenteral depot delivery systems for proteins and vaccines, non-viral drug delivery systems based on polyplexes, transepithelial transport and metabolism of peptides and drug targeting using colloidal carriers. He was Dean of the faculty of pharmacy in 1995/96. He served as President of the Controlled Release Society in 1998/99. He is recipient of the CRS Founder´s Award (2002), the Maurice-Marie Junot Award (2002) and the T. Nagai Research Achievement Award of the CRS and the Nagai Foundation Tokyo (2009). Moreover, Thomas Kissel is Co-Editor of the Journal "Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews" and European Editor of the "Journal of Controlled Release". He was Chair of the Gordon Research Conference on Drug Carriers in Medicine and Biology (2006). He serves on several editorial boards and is member of the German Pharmaceutical Society, Controlled Release Society, American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and American Chemical Society. In 2004, he was appointed as Adjunct Professor of Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Utah, followed by the appointment as Adjunct Professor at Jilin University (2008) and Visiting Professor at Shenyang Pharmaceutical Society (2008). Since 2005, he has been Speaker of the Research Group 627 "Polymeric nano-carriers for pulmonary drug delivery" of the DFG (German Research Foundation).

	Mou Signing For Healthcare Training Collaboration
	2009. 04.07 Shanghai Luye Pharma Group Ltd, University of Edinburgh Ministry of Health of PRC NHS Scotland 7^th April 2009 –Targeted at enhancing the capabilities of key hospital managers and healthcare professionals in the PRC, today the signing of a MOU between the PRC Ministry of Health (“MOH”), NHS of Scotland (“NHS”), the University of Edinburgh (“Edinburgh”) and Luye Pharma to jointly establish a scheme that will facilitate the exchange of medical expertise between Scotland and China, the ceremony takes place in Westin Bund Center Shanghai This latest collaboration will see the creation of a dedicated training scheme that seeks to transfer and integrate the best practices in the Scottish and Chinese healthcare industries. Specially designed by the University of Edinburgh and jointly coordinated by the NHS and the Health Human Resources Advanced Training Centre – a subsidiary body under the MOH, this pioneering scheme will initially see the launch of two programs in 2009 and will be gradually rolled out to other areas in the PRC over the next three years, thereby establishing a regular training platform that will promote the transfer of best practices and encourage further collaborations between enterprises of both countries. There will be 50 hospital high level management/ pharmacists attend the first two programmes. The courses may contain healthcare team building, operation management, financial management, hospital BD, pharmacy sales, quality management and pricing. Each program is structured of presentations, case studies and panels.

	Luye Pharma's 15-Years Birhtday Celebration Activities
	18 th June 2009 Yantai - It is Luye Pharma’s 15-years birthday today, with the theme of “Ventured with Passion, Draw a blueprint” and the main line of “Develop, Memory, Hope- We have been growing up for 15 years”, the celebration party was held in Yantai International Exhibition Center . More than 600 employees attended the celebration activities; they brought their own blessings for Luye Pharma by their original creative programs, the program “Harmony Music” embodied the corporate culture of “collaborative team spirit”. All the present staffs were deeply moved by the 15-years historical documentary of Luye Pharma, which was produced by the employees named Guiwu Qu, Chunyan Miao, Meng Tian etc. “Ventured with Passion, Draw a blueprint”-all the employees of Luye Pharma will take the group’s 15-years birthday as an opportunity, work with great passion and collaborative team spirit to achieve the strategic objectives of 2020 and write a new chapter for Luye Pharma together.

	The New Health Care Reform and New Pharmacy Development Conference were successfully held
	19th June (Yantai) The new health care reform and new pharmacy development conference sponsored by the Academic Department of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association and Luye Pharma were successfully held in Yantai from 19th June to 20th June. The Pharmacy Directors from 61 3-level hospitals in 20 provinces attend the conference. More than 10 leading scholars and leaders in public health department such as Chen Bing, the Deputy Secretary-General of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association; Dakui Li, The Pharmacy Director of Beijing Union Medical College Hospital; Jinhong Hu, the Pharmacy Director of Shanghai Changhai Hospital made special reports on the issues such as the current health care reform and the new national essential drugs system, the opportunities and challenges for the development of hospital pharmacy brought by the new health care reform. The advanced contents and strong team of lecturers build a professional academic communication platform for the participating experts. Mr. Liu Dianbo, the president of Luye Pharma addressed at the opening ceremony, Luye Pharma achieved further reorganization from the participating experts through Mr. Liu’s introduction of current development and planning horizon of the company.
